Another bullet point in the list of things that haven’t changed.\u00a0 Mr. Obama has taken us to war.\u00a0 Not only that, but it’s our third concurrent war and we’ve entered it for ambiguous reasons.<\/p>\n
Now, don’t get me wrong.\u00a0 I’m not against war.\u00a0 I wasn’t against Iraq or Afghanistan, it was explained to us why we went in there before we went in there.\u00a0 But, I really don’t know if I’m for or against this war in Libya, because I don’t know why we’re in it.\u00a0 Even after a TV appearance with a supposed explanation (more than a week after taking us to war)\u00a0 I still don’t really know why Libya is so special.<\/p>\n
I guess I can understand that we have “interests” that are at risk but what I really don’t understand are our “values” that are supposedly under attack.\u00a0 So we go to war just anywhere in support of our ambiguous “values” being under attack?\u00a0 Are our “values” under attack in other countries?\u00a0 I am going to bet that even in the US there are people attacking our “values” – so do we declare war on our own people?\u00a0 I want a definition of what these “values” are and I want an explanation of why we went to war in Libya over these “values”\u00a0 and how they’re under attack.\u00a0 In my mind I can see the spread of Communism being an attack on our values, and we went to war to stop the spread<\/strong> of Communism; I can understand that.\u00a0 Is there something in Libya that is against our values that we are afraid will spread<\/strong>?\u00a0 I want answers to these simple questions.\u00a0 I don’t want ambiguity, generalizations and filibustering.<\/p>\n We were also told our involvement would be minimal.\u00a0 Now I am hearing that the CIA may be afoot in Libya.\u00a0 That doesn’t seem like minimal involvement to me.\u00a0 Seems like it’s about to get much more involved.\u00a0 Arms deals?\u00a0 Regime overthrow?\u00a0 Funding?\u00a0 Let’s have some truth.\u00a0 Let’s have some transparency, Mr. Obama.\u00a0 After all, you promised us that.\u00a0 Were all these Americans just chumps for believing in your change?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Another bullet point in the list of things that haven’t changed.\u00a0 Mr. Obama has taken us to war.\u00a0 Not only that, but it’s our third concurrent war and we’ve entered it for ambiguous reasons.
