I Don&#8217;t Think So"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Personal security for those in Congress?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think so, not on our dime.\u00a0 If you want to pay for it personally, carry on.\u00a0 Those in Congress are no different than you or me, or any celebrity.\u00a0 Celebrities pay for their own security.\u00a0 You and I, if we choose it, pay for our own security.<\/p>\n<p>These people really are out of control to even consider putting this on the tax payer.\u00a0 When they assume their position in Congress, they know it comes with certain risks.\u00a0 When they go out in public, they take the same risk we do.\u00a0 Any one of us could be shot dead any given day.\u00a0 Look around &#8211; it happens every day.\u00a0 It is the scary, disgusting truth.\u00a0 But we have to accept that it is the truth.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll tell you what, Mr. or Ms. Representative.\u00a0 I&#8217;m willing to throw you a bone.\u00a0 How about if we give you an option.\u00a0 If you want personal security, we&#8217;ll take $74,000 of your outrageous $174,000 pay and put that toward your security.\u00a0 You cover the remainder of the cost out of your own pocket.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Personal security for those in Congress?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think so, not on our dime.\u00a0 If you want to pay for it personally, carry on.\u00a0 Those in Congress are no different than you or me, or any celebrity.\u00a0 Celebrities pay for their own security.\u00a0 You and I, if we choose it, pay for our own security.
