Since this is apparently going to be the new legislation rammed down our throats, how about considering these three factors as priorities over anything else? (Oddly, not one of them ever seems to be part of health care overhaul. Pink elephants?):
1. Preventative health care. If we didn’t weigh or smoke so much, or got decent exercise, how many fewer health problems would we have?
2. Insurance companies. They run the show for the most part. Patients hate them, doctors hate them.
3. Tort reform.
I’ll throw in a fourth with an asterisk. No more drug commercials. Why are America and New Zealand the only countries that allow this?
